Famiglia feudale catalana un cui ramo si trasferì in Sardegna con un Bernardo durante la spedizione dell'Infante Alfonso. Nel 1328 Bernardo ebbe dei feudi in Gallura; nel 1332 partecipò alla guerra contro i Doria ed in ricompensa del servizio prestato ebbe il feudo di San Sperate e quelli di Mogor e Soleminis. I suoi figli formarono due diversi rami della famiglia, il ramo dei signori di San Sperate, che però si estinse nel 1392 alla morte di un Bernardino, per cui questo feudo fu incamerato dal fisco. L'altro ramo discese da Bartolomeo, che nel 1348 ebbe in feudo Teulada e nel 1351 acquistò altri feudi nel Sulcis. Nel secolo XV i suoi discendenti ricoprirono importanti uffici ed acquistarono altri feudi. Nel 1445 un altro Bartolomeo ottenne in Feudo il salto di Modolo nella Planargia, suo figlio Pietro, che fu governatore del Logudoro dal 1468 e che contribuì grandemente alla sconfitta di Leonardo Alagon, nel 1477 ebbe le signorie di Austis, Tetei e Tiana, tolte ai De Sena.
