Nobility crown CiardiAntica ed assai illustre famiglia emiliana, di chiara e provata nobiltà, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. Un Franco Ciardi, del capitano Medoro, medico di valore e buon letterato (1705-1776), da Sestola, sua patria, trasferì la famiglia, che era annoverata tra le primarie del Frignano, alla Mirandola. Il duca Francesco III d'Este, con suo chirografo 27 giugno 1761, accordavagli, come a tutta la sua discendenza maschile in infinito, la cittadinanza nobile di Mirandola. Distinti dottori di leggi e letterati furono Luigi (1743-1814), di Franco, e Carlo (1795-1860), autore quest'ultimo, fra l'altro di un Repertorio Generale della nobiltà mirandolese, che si conserva inedito presso l'Archivio Municipale della Mirandola. Il 1 dicembre 1818, la Comunità della Mirandola riconfermava ad Antonio, ed alla sua discendenza maschile in infinito, il titolo di nobile della Mirandola, ed altrettanto concedeva il 20 aprile 1837 al dott. Giuseppe, a Cesare e al dott. Carlo. ...
