Nobility crown CorderoHijo de la oveja, nacido hace menos de un año, 1025. De un vocablo Cordarius, del latín vulgar, deriv. del lat. Cordus, adjetivo que se aplicaba a las plantas y animales nacidos tardíamente, y en particular a las crías de la oveja. Apellido de origen asturiano. Procede de Nevares (Parres). En Cangas del Narcea hubo otra Casa y también en Pajares. Este linaje se extendió por Galicia, las dos Castillas, Aragón y Extremadura. Probó su nobleza en la Orden de Santiago. Tuvo este apellido su casa solar en Asturias. Muchos linajes de este apellido probaron su nobleza en las Órdenes de Santiago, Calatrava, Alcántara, Montesa, (corporaciones nacidas para luchar contra los moros, cooperando a la Reconquista, y asegurar el orden, protegiendo a los peregrinos y desvalidos), Carlos III y San Juan de Jerusalén (es una orden religiosa militar fundada en el siglo XI); numerosas veces en las Reales Chancillería de Valladolid y Granada, en la Real Compañía de Guardias Marinas y en la Real Audiencia de Oviedo. Los de Asturias traen por armas: En campo de sinople, cinco corderos de plata, puestos en sotuer. Otros traen: De gules y un castillo formal de oro, aclarado de azur; cortado de sinople y dos corderos de plata andantes, puestos en pal. Otros: En gules, dos corderos blancos terrasados de sinople, uno paciendo y otro con la cabeza alta. ...
