La famiglia Reghini, originaria di Pontremoli, ebbe per capostipite riconosciuto un Alberino vivente alla fine del sec. XIV. Nel 1532 Albertino di Cristoforo fu sindaco di Pontremoli e suo figlio Carlo, addottoratosi in Siena nel 1511, fu creato conte da Clemente VII nel 1529. Il conte Alberigo di Pietro sposò nel 1583 donna Olimpia C. e per eredità fidecommissaria del padre di lei Gio. Battista, aggiunse al proprio il cognome della moglie, nel 1588. I C. Reghini indicati per tutto il secolo XVIII come Reghini-C., contrassero parentadi con le più illustri famiglie liguri e pontremolesi, e ottennero il cavalierato di S. Stefano in persona di Michele di Alberigo nel 1830. Furono ascriitti alla nobiltà di Pontremoli nel 1782; al patriziato fiorentino nel 1841: e, Michele di Alberigo, anche al patriziato pistoiese nel 1845.
