Bertrand de la Queuille, chevalier croisé (1250), quitta les armes de Rochefort et adopta celles ci-dessous décrites. Des chanoines-comtes de Brioude; des chevaliers de Malte; de vaillants capitaines qui défendirent l'Auvergne contre les Anglais (1375); un chambellan du duc de Bourbon et d'Auvergne (1437); un chambellan du roi Louis XI; un bailli des montagnes d'Auvergne, gouverneur de Moulins; un député de la noblesse de cette province (1483); un gouverneur de la Basse-Auvergne, sénéchal de Clermont (1589); un chef de l'armée royale sous la Ligue; un lieutenant-général de Bourgogne; des maréchaux de camp et officiers généraux; un député de la noblesse d'Auvergne aux Etats généraux (1789).
