Nobility crown De AngelisAntica ed assai nobile famiglia delle Marche, originaria di Ancarano ma passata poi anche in Ascoli Piceno ed in Fermo, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. La sua chiara nobiltà è testimoniata dalla sua presenza nelle principali opere araldiche e nei registri nobiliari italiani. Patrizia di Ascoli e Nobile di Fermo, questa famiglia ha dato i natali a Filippo De Angelis (1792-1877), creato cardinale di S.R. Chiesa in data 8 luglio 1839 e divenuto poi Arcivescovo e Principe di Fermo in data 27 gennaio 1842. Nel 1860, con l'annessione delle Marche al regno sabaudo, i piemontesi lo imprigionarono e condussero a Torino, ove rimase in carcere fino al 1866. Si ricordi anche Francesco De Angelis che, nel 1844, era Deputato della Delegazione Araldica. Un secolo prima era invece fiorito in Ancarano il poeta Antonio De Angelis.
