Nobility crown Dei BeiAntica e patrizia famiglia veneziana, conosciuta come De Belli, Dei Bei o Ballini, per alcuni originaria da Traù, per altri da Bergamo ed altri ancora da Vicenza, la quale trovasi certamente presente in Venezia, ove i suoi membri si trasmisero, di generazione in generazione, l'esercizio dell'arte notarile. Ricordiamo ad esempio Simondino, rogante negli anni 1272-80. Un ramo del casato, sul calar del secolo decimo terzo, si stabilì in Trieste, ove fu ascritto tra le famiglia patrizia nel 1246 ed ove diede i natali a numerosi giuristi, funzionari, scrittori, comandanti militari e sacerdoti. Agli inizi del XIX secolo l'imperatore Francesco Giuseppe I ha confermato il titolo nobiliare al ramo tergestino della famiglia. Ma il casato vanta diramazioni anche in Istria, ove per primo si stabilì uno Jacopo (1356-1420).
