I Dragazzi, detti anche Ragazzi o Ragatzi, appartengono ad una famiglia decurionale di Cremona, che ha per capostipite Marcellino, dal quale, per varie generazioni, discende Giovan Paolo, che fu creato marchese da Ranuccio Farnese, duca di Parma, con diploma 1 febbraio 1690. Detto titolo fu confermato nello Stato di Milano, con sentenza 16 marzo 1722, riducendo però la trasmissione ai soli maschi primogeniti. Con Sovrana Risoluzione 21 novembre 1819, fu confermata l'antica nobiltà ed il titolo marchionale a Giuseppe, che in prime nozze impalmò Teresa Cerri ed in seconde Carolina Moriggia. Furono figli suoi: Maria, sposata al conte Giuseppe Guadagni; Giuditta, moglie di Giovanni Mari; Gaetano, marito di Maria Cernuschi, da cui Giuditta, Rosa e Berardo (morto nel 1852).
