Il ramo Dro di Barbania detenne, sin dal XIII secolo, la giurisdizione su Corio, Rocca e Barbania, ricevendone formale investitura nell’anno 1316. Tra i suoi membri si annovera Guglielmo Dro, castellano di Grassino nel 1326, mentre Amedeo, canonico teologo presso la Metropolitana di Torino, nel 1429 fondò la collegiata dei canonici di Courgné. Il ramo Dro di Rivoli si distinse per aver dato i natali a notai, consiglieri e sindaci nella propria terra d’origine, fra i quali si ricorda Guglielmo, che nel 1568 fu investito del feudo di Ornino. ...
