On trouve son nom diversement ècrit Falcon et Faucon .Armand et Pierre Falcon, Bertrand Bèraud, Ehrard et Vilate, tous coseigneurs de Pradelles, rendent hommage le 18 septembre 1263 à Messire Bernard d'Anduze, en la personne de Mre Guillaume de Randon, de dix tables au château de Pradelles qui sont divisées entre lesdits seigneurs pariers. Le même Pierre Falcon figure le 30 juin 1269, dans la charet dite de Pradelles, ou traité passé au château de Belvezet, entre Randon de Chateauneuf, Bertrand Beraud , Villate de Pradelles, le dit Pierre Falcon, tous seigneurs pariers de Pradelles et Bertrand de Beaune damoiseau, sur le cartalage du blé, la leyde du sel, le ban du vin et l'exercice de la justice dans la ville de Pradelles. André Falcon était chanoine de Pèbrac en 1325. Maintenue en Auvergne (1667), sur preuves de huit générations remontant à Villars de Faucon vivant en 1430, dont le fils Jourdain, seigneur du Villaret, est rappelé dans les lettres de réhabiliattion données par le roi Charles VII le 24 juillet 1450. On trouve aussi sous ce nom: des chanoines-comtes de Brioude (1690-1715); une chanoinesse de Brünn: la comtesse Amicie de Foulques de Villaret (1902), dernière du nom; un abbé de Mazan (1284); un brigadier d'armée (1747); un chevalier de Malte (1792).
