Antica ed assai nobile famiglia veneta, di chiara ed avita virtù, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. Importanti nuclei della stessa sono anche presenti in Sud America. Originaria della città di Verona si è parimenti diffusa nel vicentino, più precisamente a Orgiano, ed in San Marino, ove nel secolo decimonono ebbe diversi Capitano Reggenti. In precedenza, precisamente nel 1716, i membri di questa nobile prosapia erano stati creati conti bavaresi, come ben giusta il Crollalanza nei volumi del suo "Dizionario storico blasonico delle famiglie nobili e notabili italiane estinte e fiorenti". I Fattori possedevano inoltre la tenuta di Novare, in Valpolicella. D'altronde questo casato, nel dispiegarsi dei lustri, sempre era riuscito a produrre una serie di uomini che avevano reso illustre il suo nome, nei pubblici impieghi, nelle professioni liberali ed ecclesiastiche e nel servizio militare.
