Linaje de Cataluña, con casa solar en el lugar de Cantallops, del partido judicial de Figueres, provincia de Gerona. También tuvo casa en Barcelona. Juan F. pasó a la conquista de Mallorca con don Jaime I de Aragón y fue heredado en el repartimiento de aquella isla con la alquería de "Culultel", en el término de Montueri. De este Juan F. pretende descender la familia malloquina Ferrá. Martín F., de la familia del infante don Pedro de Portugal, también pasó a Mallorca cuando su conquista, y le tocaron en el reparto del distrito el "raal" Alastil, de tres yugadas, y el "raal" Almagzen, de cuatro yugadas, que antes había sido del rey. A la casa de Barcelona perteneció Juan Antonio F., padre de Felipe F., habilitado en Cortes el año de 1599, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Jerónima Voltar (hija de Miguel Juan de Voltar, "paher en cap" de Lérida), naciendo de ese enlace Antonio F. Voltar, que casó con doña Francisca Sacirera, en la que procreó a José F. Sacirera, bautizado en la iglesia de San Justo de Barcelona, el 28 de mayo de 1665, y caballeros del hábito de San Juan, en el Gran Priorato de Cataluña en 1681. En la jurisdicción de la villa de Tamarit, del partido judicial de Tarragona, hay un lugar denominado F., cuyo nombre debe estar relacionado con el del linaje, pues en dicha provincia hubo también casa de F. en la villa de Vallmoll. De esta casa fue Juan F., natural de Vallmoll, del partido judicial de Valls, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Francisca Balber. ...
