Nobility crown FerretoAntichissima e nobile, originaria di Brescia. Un Ferreto bresciano, era notaro imperiale in Vicenza nel 1262. Ferreto di Giacomo, morto nel 1337, fu oratore, poeta e storico eccellente. Questa famiglia aveva i propri sepolcri nelle chiese di Santa Corona e di S. Lorenzo, sui quali era scolpita la loro arma rappresentante un semivolo. Tra questa famiglia la sua origine in Lombardia, non possonno le lingue dolose criticare contro l'antichissima origine, e progressi di questa chiarissima famiglia. Di origine longobarda, le prime sue memorie in Milano rimontano al tempo di Federico II, conforme riferisce il Morgia Paolo nella "Nobiltà di Milano divisa in sei libri" stampato in Milano nel 1595.
