Haute bourgeoisie originaire du Forez (1336), dont certaines branches vivaient noblement. Possessionnée à Allègre (1462), on trouve son nom diversement écrit Filhes, Des Filhes et Fille. Elle a donné: un prêtre sociétaire de l'église de St-Bonnet-le-Château et notaire de la cour du Forez (1356). Philippe, est dit prêtre sociétaire de St-Bonnet-le-Château (1486); Étienne, bayle des prêtres de l'église de St-Martin-d'Allègre (20 mai 1462). Noble Philippe des Filhes époux de Marie de Fretat, possessionné à Céaux-d'Allègre en 1551 fut l'aïeul de Claire épouse de Claude Grellet seigneur de Bessioux, lieutenant-général du marquisat d'Allègre (1627-1669). Noble Jean de la Filhe, seigneur du Breuil, avait épousé Anne de Malfant qui possédait un domaine à la Chapelle-Bertin en 1658. Ils laissèrent Catherine de la Filhe dame du Breuil et de la Chapelle-Bertin, marié à Jean de Trebuchet, écuyer, seigneur de Marcillac en Gévaudan. Pierre Aquarion dit des Filhes (1411-1432) dérogea par le commerce; son fils, autre Pierre, clerc juré, notaire de la cour du Forez, forma une branche fixée avant 1540 à Bas-en-Basset, où elle fonda une prébende dans l'église. Jeanne s'allia vers 1537 à Vital du Port, capitaine châtelain de Rochebaron, et noble Pierre le 1er février 1604 à Catherine de Figon d'où: Louise mariée en 1622 à Jean de Chazelets-Meynard, écuyer, seigneur de St-Julien. ...
