Nobility crown FilipponiaOriundi di Ceva si diramarono nelle tre linee dei baroni di Romano, dei conti di Mombello e dei signori del marchesato di Ceva. Giambattista, che era notaio a Ceva, e che morì verso il 1539, ebbe due figli: Gianfrancesco e Michiele. Da Gianfrancesco, che fu capitano di milizie, origina la linea dei baroni di Romano, terra di cui fu infeudato l'avvocato Francesco (n. Buda, dec. a Torino il 16 settembre 1802), di Francesco Antonio, e di cui ottenne l'erezione in baronia il 12 marzo 1784. Con suo figlio Giuseppe (n. a Torino, dec. ivi il 29 dic. 1838), che ebbe il titolo di intendente, finì la linea baronale. Michele fu lo stipite della linea dei signori del marchesato di Ceva, San Michele, Roasio, e Torre, consignori di Cavallerleone, conti di S. Mauro. Questa linea ebbe termine con Giovanna Maria (dec. a Torino, 8 aprile 1824), di Gianfrancesco, che sposò in prime nozze il conte Pietro Amedeo Morozzo di Magliano e in seconde Giovanni Alessandro Valperga. La linea di Monbello origina da Tommaso, secondogenito di Michele Fabrizio del ramo di Romano. ...
