Antica ed illustre famiglia del Trentino Alto-Adige, di chiara ed avita virtù, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Europa e del mondo. Tradizione vuole che essa discenda dalla nobile famiglia tedesca Franze, spesso trascritta anche come Fronze, divenuta, per questioni di fonetica dialettale, Fronza in Trentino Alto-Adige. Essa era una delle più illustri casate della Prussia Occidentale, la quale fu anche ammessa all'Ordine teutonico. Tra i primi personaggi di cui abbiamo memoria vi sono: il cavaliere Hans Fronze, fiorente nel 1401, e lo scudiero Augustin Fronze, fiorente nel 1409. Ancora nel 1433 fiorivano Heinrich Fronze ed i di lui figli: Arend e Franz. La casata appare fiorente anche nel XVI e nel XVII secolo. Un Georg si stabilì a Neuchâtel nel 1566 e da lì la famiglia iniziò a dividersi in molti rami. Una famiglia già Fronza appare presente nel territorio trentino sin dal tardo XVIII secolo. I ...
