Nobility crown GambaA família se originou em Florença, onde se matricularam nas artes de lã, seda, médicos e farmacêuticos e onde tiveram as maiores honras com Bartolomeo Gamba, que fazia parte do senhorio como Prior no ano de 1426. Os membros dessa família ilustre, eles se mudaram por motivos de barganha para Barga e Carrara, praticando a indústria da lã. Com rescript soberano de 1 de julho de 1836, dr. Niccolò, de Gio. Domenico, junto com seus tios paternos dott. Ermenegildo e Avv. Angiolo, foram atribuídos à nobreza florentina. O mencionado dr.
