Nobility crown GenoinoDie Familie Genoino, die ursprünglich aus der Stadt Cava stammte, gehört seit 1334 zu den Adelshäusern des Königreichs, wie die Beweise belegen, die der Kommission für die Adelstitel des damaligen Königreichs beider Sizilien vorgelegt wurden. Mit einem am 31. Mai 1632 in Wien ausgestellten kaiserlichen Diplom verlieh ihm Kaiser Ferdinand II. in Anerkennung des alten und nachgewiesenen Adels seiner Abstammung gegenüber dem königlichen Berater den Titel eines Pfalzgrafen, erklärte ihn zum Adligen des Heiligen Römischen Reiches, des Heiligen Lateranpalastes, des Caesarea-Saals und des kaiserlichen Konsistoriums und gewährte ihm das Recht, das Wappen mit dem österreichischen Reichsadler zu tragen. Dieselben Ehren und Vorrechte wurden seinen Brüdern Diego, Leonardo, Carlo, Orazio und Luca sowie ihren legitimen Nachkommen zuteil. Mit einem weiteren Diplom vom 26. Mai 1731 verlieh Kaiser Karl VI. Ignatius den Titel eines Marquis. Ein eigener Zweig derselben Linie, ebenfalls aus dem alten feudalen Adel, gehört seit 1334 zu den Adelsfamilien des Königreichs Neapel und wurde von berühmten Männern der Rechtswissenschaften und Waffen ausgezeichnet.
