Antica ed assai nobile famiglia della Germania, di chiara ed avita virtù, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Europa e del mondo. La chiara nobiltà di questa casata risulta ulteriormente confermata dalla sua presenza in alcune delle più pregevoli opere di araldica europea, tra cui: "Johann Siebmachers allgemeines großes und vollständiges Wappenbuch", essenziale riferimento per la nobiltà del Sacro Romano Impero, compilato dall'araldista tedesco Johann Ambrosius Siebmacher (1561–1611), e "Armorial général" dell'araldista e genealogista olandese Johannes Rietstap (1828-1891), monumentale armoriale europeo contenente le blasonature di più di 130,000 stemmi di famiglie europee. I primi riferimenti a questa illustre famiglia si rintracciano già nel tardo XVII secolo, essendo essa compresa tra le nobili e proprietarie terriere del Land della Baviera. Molti dei suoi esponenti si sono poi con successo dedicati all'esercizio delle professioni giuridiche. Ma non sono mancati gli uomini di lettere, di chiesa e di armi. Dai nostri archivi: Georg Henrich, dottor di legge, fiorente nel tardo XVII secolo; Peter Henrich, giudice, fiorente in Monaco nel 1712; Thomas, teologo e saggista, fiorente nel 1734; Wilhelm Henrich, proprietario terriero bavarese, fiorente nel 1768; Hans Henrich, dottor di legge, fiorente nel 1781; Johann Henrich, giurista bavarese, fiorente nel 1801. Un ramo di questa casata era parimenti fiorito in Svizzera, inizialmente nel Canton Zurigo. Ad esso appartiene Heinrich Henrich (Oberägeri, 2 febbraio 1614 - Dillingen, 8 agosto 1682), figlio di Johann Heinrich di Bornacher. Heinrich Henrich è stato uno dei più importanti gesuiti svizzeri del XVII secolo. Egli ha scritto diverse opere teatrali come drammaturgo barocco e ha pubblicato numerosi scritti filosofici e teologici.
