Antica ed assai nobile famiglia siciliana fregiata di vari titoli nobiliari si è propagata, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. Un Giuseppe Iannelli e Di Vincenzo, da Caccamo, con privilegio del 14 giugno 1763 ottenne il titolo di barone di Franco e Corte Vecchia; un barone Gioacchino (figlio del precedente) uditore delle guardie reali 1800, pro-uditore di Palermo 1809, cavaliere di grazia dell’ordine costantiniano, a 21 marzo 1810 ottenne attestato di nobiltà dal senato di Palermo e a 18 dicembre 1817 ottenne parere favorevole per l’ammissione ai reali baciamano. Non sappiamo se sia appartenuto a questa stessa famiglia quel Vito, dottore in leggi, giudice delle appellazioni in Castroreale negli anni 1799-1800 e 1802-3. ...
