M. Raymond de Gigord, dans son ouvrage sur la Noblesse de la sénéchaussée de Villeneuve-de-Berg en 1789, donne l'article suivant auquel nous ajoutons les notes que nous avons recueillies sur cette famille. Suivant quelques-uns, cette famille serait une branche qui se sont fondus chez les du Mas de Chadenac et ceux-ci chez les La Rivoire de La Tourette; un rameau se serait établi à la Souche. Nous avons relevé divers actes concernant cette famille. Noble Odile épousa Lombarde de Feugières, ce qui résulte d'une reconnaissance de ladite Lombarde à noble Gonet de Jaujac, reçue par Auriol, notaire en 1430. Dans un titre du 4 mai 1500, on mentionne noble Jean, seigneur de Feugière. Noble François vivant en 1576, d'après un acte du notaire Nicolas de Laval, était aïeul de noble Jean-Pierre, vivant en 1606. En 1592 noble François épousa Hélène de Mirabel. Louis, capitaine commandant une compagnie de chevau-légers au régiment de Montauban, épousa Paule de La Tour de Chomérac, fille d'Antoine de La Tour, seigneur de La Garde et de Saves et d'isabeau de Barjac, dont: 1° Charles, qui suit, baptisé le 16 novembre 1666. Il eut comme parrain noble Charles de Chambaud; sa marraine fut Catherine de Cahmbaud. 2° Louis; 3° Marianne; 4°Marie. Louis se remaria à Marie de Trapier dont il eut: Scipion ou Simon, baptisé le 2 mars 1680. Son parrain fut: noble Scipion de Chambaud, seigneur de Saint-Lager et sa marraine, dame Françoise de Combier. ...
