Nobility crown LantenasBonne bourgeoisie du Puy que l'on a parfois confondue, à tort, avec la noble famille de Brun. Vital, marchand du Puy, vivait en 1345. N. L. orfèvre du Puy, essaya de livrer cette ville aux Bourguignons commandés par le prince d'Orange (1419), mais cette tentativa échoua. Filiation depuis Mathieu et Pierre, habitant le lieu du Collet, qui transigent, en 1510, avec noble Pierre de Borne-la-Mure, au sujet de l'irrigation d'un pré sis au terroir des Estreys. Mathieu et son frère Pierre prêtre, décédé en 1525, furent inhumés dans la chapelle du couvent de Ste-Claire du Puy, lieu de sepultura de cette famille jusqu'en 1776 François, fils de Mathieu, était notaire royal au Collet en 1538. Il laissa: Pierre, aussi notaire royal en 1589, époque à laquelle les ligueurs du Puy incendièrent sa métairie du Collet. Ses descendants ont continué d'habiter ce castel et d'y exercer pendant plusieurs générations les mêmes fonctions. On rencontre aussi: deux premiers consuls du Puy (1699-1735), l'un d'eux: Joseph, député de cette ville aux Etats généraux du Languedoc (1700); des orfèvres; un député du département du Rhône à la Convention: François Xavier (1754 mort 1799), plus tard membre du conseil des Cinq-Cents. ...
