Gonçalo Fernandes, sucessor de seu pai e Conde soberano de Castela e de Burgos e senhor de Amaia, estados que possuía pelos ano de 913, em que confirmou a provoção e foral de Branhosera, feitos por seus avós, D. Nuno Rasura e D. Argilona. Teve também o condado de Lara pelo casamento com D. Nuna Fernandes, filha herdeira de D. Fernão Gonçalves, Conde de Lara, e de sua mulher, D.
