Antica famiglia milanese, il cui capostipite, Bono, fiorì in principio del 1400. Giacomo ebbe riconosciuta l'antica nobiltà dal Tribunale araldico sul finire del XVIII secolo. Luigia, sua unica figlia ed erede, si maritò nel 1813 con Paolo dei conti Greppi. Tra questa famiglia la sua origine in Lombardia, non possono le lingue dolose criticare contro l'antichissima origine, e progressi di questa chiarissima famiglia. Di origine longobarda, le prime sue memorie in Milano rimontano al tempo di Federico II, conformemente a quanto riferisce il Morgia Paolo nella "Nobiltà di Milano divisa in sei libri" stampato in Milano nel 1595. Lo stesso autore riferisce essere questa una delle più nobili ed antiche famiglie di Milano. Altro ramo. Famiglia livornese assai antica ed illustre delle cui origini non vi sono notizie certe.
