Intorno al 1500 la famiglia per aver ottenuto degli incarichi dal Governo Arciducale, si trasferì a Caldaro nell'Alto Adige. Si divise allora in due rami, quello di Caldaro, poi di Laimburg e quello di Appiano, poi di Paschback. Giovanni (Hans) dall'Arciduca Ferdinando d'Austria ottenne la nobiltà con diploma 16 genn. 1591. Il 22 gennaio 1624, l'imperatore Ferdinando II confermò il precedente diploma del 1591 estendendolo a due fratelli ed a cinque cugini di Paolo, suo contabile di Corte, aggiungendo il predicato di Laimburg, antico e rovinato castello presso Caldaro (Bolzano). La famiglia si imparentò con diverse nobili famiglie, quali i Gorethh de Seeburg, i Rosenberg di Roosenstein, i Pach di Hansenkeim, i nobili de Mayerhofen de Koburg, i Sepp de Seppenberg, i baroni Manincor de Casetz ed Erhenhausen, ecc. ...
