Nobility crown LercaroEntre las más célebras familias de la República de Génova, figura la de L., que con la de Justiniani, también noble genovesa, formaron una de las principales Casas de la Nobleza canaria. Jerónimo L. el II se estableció en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria en 1550. Inscrito como todos sus antepasados en el Libro de Oro de la República de Génova, casó en esta Ciudad el Año 1540, con la noble señora Jorgeta Saoli en primeras nupcias y en segunda, con Doña Isabel Calva, veneciana. A su muerte, Jerónimo L. dejó cinco hijos, el tercero de los cuales, Angel L., II del nombre, que continúa la sucesión. Angel L., que se había establecido en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, con su padre, fue Teniente de Gobernados de la isla de Gran Canaria, y casó con Doña Leonor de León, viuda de Lázaro de Mayuelo, noble genovés, prima hermana por una y otra línea de Don Pedro de León, Canónigo de la Santa Iglesia Catedral de Canarias y de Tomás de León, Regidor Perpetuo de la Gran Canaria, hijos ambos de Alonso de León, natural de Los Santos de Maimona en la provincia de Badajoz.
