Nobility crown LiccatiAntica ed assai illustre famiglia, detta Riccati o Liccati, oriunda dalla Manta (Saluzzo), propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. Oddino era capitano del castello di Verzuolo e Girolamo era tesoriere del Marchesato di Saluzzo. Costui consegnò l'arma gentilizia il 13 maggio 1614. Stipite noto della presente famiglia è Giovanni, che morì agli inizi del secolo XVII. Di questa famiglia si formarono due linee, di cui la prima non ha titoli nobiliari e la seconda ha il titolo baronale. Giuseppe (nato Manta, 17 dicembre 1744, defunto 15 febbraio 1820), di Giovanni, che fu avvocato, intendente nell'uffizio del Controllo Generale delle Finanze (1779) e quindi intendente d'Asti (1791), fu infeudato di punti di Ceva e S. Michele il 12 ottobre 1791 ed investito il 19 ottobre 1793 col titolo baronale.
