Procede este apellido del lugar de Lizasoain (cuyo nombre tomó), del Ayuntamiento de Olza y partido judicial de Pamplona (Navarra). Otra casa noble, llamada de Sanchorena, tuvo en el lugar de Cía, del Ayuntamiento de Gulina y partido judicial de Pamplona. De esta última casa procedió Martín de L., vecino del lugar de Echalecu, en el mismo partido judicial de Pamplona, y su hijo Joaquín Miguel de L., los cuales, en unión de otros parientes, comparecieron en 1778 ante la Real Audiencia de Navarra, y manifestaron que su padre y abuelo, respectivamente, habían obtenido ejecutoria de hidalguía como descendientes de la mencionada casa noble de Cía, y que les correspondía la misma. Obtuvieron sentencia confirmatoria. Una línea pasó a San Sebastián. En uno de los lugares denominados Murillo (no sabemos cuál), que hay en Navarra, vivió Juan de L. que fué padre de Fermín de L., también vecino de Murillo, que procreó a Martín de L., que pasó a Pamplona, donde casó y tuvo a Valentín de L., que trasladó su residencia a la villa de Quinto, del partido judicial de Pina (Zaragoza), y allí contrajo matrimonio con doña Beatriz Sanz de Marquina, naciendo de esta unión Bernardino de Jaso L. y Sanz de Marquina, que probó su infanzonía en la Corte del Justicia de Aragón y sacó decisorias el 11 de Mayo de 1590. ...
