Antonio Lodzia Poninski, procuratore generale della Corona, insieme ad altri, dopo la morte del re Augusto II non volle accettare l'elezione di Stanislao Lesczynscki, avvenuta nel 1733, e sostenendo la candidatura di Augusto di Sassonia, figlio del re defunto, costituì una Dieta a Kameniec sotto la sua presidenza e proclamò re di Polonia Augusto III.
