Nobility crown LongchambonFamille vivant noblement au Monastier dès le XVIIIème siècle, convoquée au ban et à l'arrière-ban du Velay (1689) et représentée à l'assemblée de la sénéchaussée du Puy le 31 mars 1789. Parmi les officiers originaires du Velay, composant en 1589, au château d'Usson en Auvergne, la petite cour de Marguerite de Valois, laquelle au dire de Burel, tenait alors "contraire party du Roy de Navarre son mary", on relève les noms de Jean, seigneur de la Queuille, "secrétaire des finances de la reine" et Vidal, seigneur du Pin, "contrôleur de sa maison", tous deux natifs du Monastier. Noble Pierre-Louis seigneur du Pin, est dit père de François, marié le 6 sept. 1687 à Marguerite du Lac de Fugères. Jacques du Pin fit enregistrer en 1696, ses armoiries dans l'Armorial général de d'Hozier. Il fut maintenu dans sa noblesse le 25 décembre 1700 et laissa Pierre-Louis marié a Françoise Pradier d'Agrain. Charles-Sylvestre seigneur du Pin (1770), épousa Marguerite de Chalendar. Plusieurs membres de cette famille inscrits sur la liste des émigrés de la Haute-Loire, furent déportés pendant la Révolution. ...
