Nobility crown LupatoAntica ed assai nobile famiglia veneta originaria di Adria detta Lovati, Lupati, Lupato o Lupo. La variazione dei cognomi non deve stupire: essa era un fenomeno assai frequente nel diramarsi di un casato dovute alle solite cause della pronunzia dialettale e dal modo di interpretare nella scritta i cognomi. Tra i primi personaggi importanti con questo antico cognome notiamo un Lupato, poeta e dottore in legge, vivente nel XIV sec. e proprietario di un palazzo in S.Lorenzo (Padova). Si ritiene che la famiglia sia derivata dai Lupi di Soragna. E' nota in Adria dal sec. XIV ed a quella nobiltà era ascritta. In dipendenza di questa nobiltà ottenne conferma con S.R.A. 29 marzo 1823 nella persona di Giovanni Battista di Luca, e con S.R.A. 5 genn. 1824 nella persona di Ignazio di Domenico.
