La nobile e vetusta famiglia Masola, un tempo conosciuta con i nomi antichi e venerandi di Magliola e Mazzola, fiorì tra le illustri casate della Superba Repubblica, godendo di pieno e riconosciuto onore all’interno dell’albergo degli Usodimari, uno dei più insigni e rispettati del patriziato genovese.
