Questa vecchia ed illustre famiglia friulana, ormai spenta quanto ai maschi, trae le sue origini da Como. Ed invero nel 1698 il 9 di agosto i Decurioni di questa città dichiaravano in un solenne diploma che la famiglia del Friuli aveva appartenuto alla nobiltà comense, e che ai suoi membri erano sempre state conferite le primarie cariche cittadine.
