Note: Egregia e antica famiglia nobiliare siracusana, distintasi per il possesso di illustri baronie quali Carioto, Aere del Conte o Pezza d’Oliveto, San Marco lo Vecchio, Montepellegrino e altre ancora. Nel corso dei secoli, i suoi membri hanno ricoperto con onore e dedizione prestigiose cariche cittadine: un Pietro fu giurato di Siracusa negli anni 1552-53, mentre un altro Pietro rivestì il medesimo ruolo nel 1591-92. La tradizione familiare fu continuata da Antonino, giurato nel 1593-94, e da Giovanni, che fu giurato negli anni 1604-05 e 1616-17. Ancora, Antonino fu chiamato a tale incarico nel 1660-61, mentre un ulteriore Pietro si distinse come capitano di giustizia nel 1667-68. Carlo fu giurato negli anni 1661-62 e 1668-69, Ludovico nel 1684-85, Giuseppe nel 1700-01. Antonio, insignito del titolo di giurato nobile, servì la città nel 1712-13 e 1715-16, e fu inoltre senatore nel 1723-24. Giambattista ricoprì la carica di giurato nel 1718-19 e 1738-39; Diego fu giurato nobile nel 1745-46. Giambattista, barone di San Marco lo Vecchio, fu giurato negli anni 1744-45 e 1750-51, capitano di giustizia nel 1746-47 e senatore nel 1754-55. Nicolò fu giurato nobile negli anni 1746-47 e 1752-53. Infine, Francesco onorò la famiglia con il ruolo di giurato negli anni 1787-88 e 1791-92, e di senatore nobile nel 1804-05.
