Lo stemma si trova sul Libro d'oro per l'ammissione di Giovanni Michele Mei Orsucci alla nobiltà pesciatina nel 1777.

Note: Un esemplare dello stemma, peraltro senza il leone, è riportato dal Sepoltuario Rosselli per la tomba dell'ambasciatore lucchese Camillo Mei, 1628, in S. Francesco al Monte di Firenze. Per l'ammissione di Andrea Mei alla nobiltà di Pescia nel 1773 vennero presentati entrambi gli stemmi, ma nel Libro d'oro passò solo il secondo.
