Il di lui figlio, Lodovico, proseguì la tradizione di servizio alla patria ricoprendo la carica di senatore, mentre Alessandro, fratello di quest’ultimo, fu elevato alla dignità episcopale e creato Vescovo d’Imola nell’anno del Signore 1579 dal Sommo Pontefice Gregorio XIII.
