Famille de robe. On trouve au Puy: Bertrand, chanoine de St-Agrève, pourvu par bulle du pape Clément VII (22 novembre 1378), de la cure de St-Georges. Il est dit bayle du dit chapitre de St-Georges en 1385 et vivait encore en 1406. Etienne, notaire, lègue une rente à la collégiale de St-Georges par testament du 25 mai 1442. Urbe, marchand tanneur du Puy (1530-1572), fut le père d'Antoine Pages, tanneur, qui testa le 16 septembre 1589 et fut inhumé au tombeau de ses ancêtres, dans l'église de St-Pierre-Latour. Pierre, seigneur de l'Herm, lieutenant particulier de la sénéchaussée du Puy (1691), testa le 8 avril 1697. Autre Pierre, seigneur de Mounès (peut être le même que le précédent), docteur et avocat en parlement, fit inscrire en 1696, ses armoiries dans d'Hozier. Il était lieutenant de la sénéchaussée en 1710. François Pages de l'Herm, seigneur de Planèze et de l'Herm, épousa Marie-Anne Sordon de Créaux. Leurs fils noble Pierre-Raymond, écuyer, seigneur de l'Herm et de Planèze, lieutenant criminel en la sénéchaussée du Puy (1746), eut de Toussainte Bruyère de Labro: Marie-Anne-Toussainte Pages de l'Herm, marié le 18 avril 1769 à Pierre Pélissier de Montredon. Une autre branche, existante, a pour tige: Pierre, avocat, marié à Philiberte Roche de Pouzols, d'où: Jean-Pierre, qualifié marchand du Puy dans l'acte d'acquisition (25 avril 1764) de la terre de la Coste, à lui vendue par Apollinaire de Veiny d'Arbouse marquis de Villemont, moyennant 18,000 livres et qu'il retrocéda à Jacques-Frédéric de Morgues de Saint-Gemain, plus tard son gendre. De son union avec Marguerite Crouzet, J.-P. Pages de Farnier laissa: Pierre-François, marié en 1779 à Antoinette Faure de Cussac, d'où entre autres: Françoise, marié le 27 février 1802 à François Espanhon et Louis, allié à Justine Delcros, père de Louis mort capitaine en retraite, laissant deux fils eux-mêmes officiers et pères de plusieurs enfants. Des prieurs et chanoines de St-Vosy; des magistrats en la sénéchaussée du Puy. ...
