Nobility crown PaliacioCon diploma 29 giugno 1544 Carlo V confermava il privilegio di nobiltà a favore di Gian Francesco Paliacio e dei suoi figli e discendenti da maschi. Questa famiglia, originaria probabilmente dalla Sicilia, pose stanza a Sassari, dove tuttora dimora. E' unica di tale casato in Sardegna, ai suoi membri competono i titoli di cavaliere e di nobile, col trattamento di don. Epperò don Gavino Diego Paliacho, don Tomaso Paliacho e don Gavino Diego Paliacho Sanatello, tutti di Sassari, intervennero, per la loro qualità di nobili, al Parlamento Generale celebrato in Cagliari nel 1698. Inoltre la stessa famiglia possedeva un feudo giurisdizionale tra i più rimarchevoli dell'isola. Con diploma in data 20 aprile 1756 Carlo Emanuele III, re di Sardegna, faceva la concessione del titolo marchionale dell'incontrada (regione) di Planargia nel Capo di Logudoro a favore dell'illustre fedele e suo diletto Reggente Provinciale di Toga nel Supremo Consiglio di Sardegna ...
