Si suddivise in due linee: la primogenita dei conti di Cesnola e la secondogenita dei conti di Borgofranco. Quest'ultima, che ebbe per stipite Giovanni Aurelio, di Gianfrancesco, il quale era pronipote del citato Pietro, è ora estinta. Assurse il ramo primogenito al fastigio della nobiltà con Emanuele (n. 13 febbraio 1740, dec. 17 settembre 1814), figlio del dottore di leggi e magistrato Giuseppe Emanuele e di Girolama Bianchi.
