Note: Sembra che in origine il leone non fosse rivolto: la posizione attuale, con il leone "rivoltato all'uso germano", fu conseguenza della concessione di Francesco Stefano di Lorena nel 1754 con riconoscimento della nobiltà di Piacenza. Giuseppe Pavesi e fratelli furono allora ammessi alla nobiltà pisana, e nel 1779 Lorenzo e Pietro Pavesi furono ammessi alla nobiltà di Pontremoli.
