Nobility crown PeirquinOriginaires du Forez (1370). On trouve son nom diversement écrit de la Pierre ou Lapierre. Ses membres sont qualifiés des seigneurs de St-Hilaire, de Valprivas, d'Apinac, de Maisonneuve, etc. Amé est notaire de St-Bonnet-le-Château en 1499. Filiation suivie depuis Benoît de la Pierre de Saint-Hilaire, marié vers 1570 à Clauda Verdier. Branche à Chomelix au XVIème siècle. Un échevin de Montbrison (1645); des conseillers au bailliage de Forez (1674-1706); plusieurs conseillers secrétaires du roi, maison et couronne de France, anoblis par cette charge. Possessionnés à Valprivas près Bas vers 1700, par alliance avec les Verd du Verdier de Valprivas, et seigneurs d'Apinac en 1776, par acquisition des de Flachat d'Apinac. Convoqués en 1789 aux Etats généraux de Beaujoulais et à l'assemblée de la noblesse du Forez. Un membre de cette famille: Antoine-Joseph de la Pierre de Saint-Hilaire, fut l'une des 28 victimes fusillées à feurs le 10 février 1794. Nobles alliances. ...
