Nobility crown PerassiAntica ed assai nobile famiglia piemontese, originaria del Monferrato, di chiara ed avita virtù, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. Come riporta Antonio Manno, la famiglia fu detta nei tempi Peracchio, Perazzi o Perassi. Come riporta J.B. Rietstap, la famiglia è stata investita anche del titolo comitale sopra Villaralmese, in data 7 agosto 1660. Ma le prime memorie della famiglia rimontano al secolo decimo primo, quando viveva un Giuseppe che, avendo militato valorosamente sotto le bandiere di Corrado contro i Mori, riportò da quell'imperatore il glorioso cimiero di un cane d'argento che arde tra le fiamme. Nello stesso secolo Pietrino e Guglielmo governarono il Monferrato a nome del suo marchese e ne furono rimunerati con l'investitura del feudo di Castelvecchio.
