Antica ed assai nobile famiglia veneta, originaria della città di Venezia, di chiara ed avita virtù, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. La sua chiara nobiltà è testimoniata dalla sua presenza in fondamentali opere araldiche quali: il "Repertorio Genealogico delle famiglie confermate nobili e dei titolati esistenti nelle Province Venete", di Francesco Schroeder (sec.
