Pietro Giovanni erlangte mit Privileg vom 29. Juli 1652 den Baronstitel von Santa Marina und diente 1658 bis 1659 als Senator von Palermo, während sein Sohn Giuseppe am 16. September 1666 in diesen Titel investiert wurde. Francesco Antonio, Baron von Santa Marina, erhielt am 30. März 1775 die Adelsbestätigung durch den Senat von Palermo und wurde am 12. Mai desselben Jahres zu Hofämtern zugelassen. Ein weiterer Pietro Giovanni, Doktor der Rechte und Sohn des verstorbenen Barons Francesco, wurde 1798 bis 1807 in die Adelsmatrikel von Messina aufgenommen. Giuseppe, Baron, zeichnete sich als Historiker Milazzos aus, während Francesco Antonio, Oberst der Bersaglieri, und sein Bruder Domenico am 25. September 1904 die Anerkennung des Baronstitels erhielten. Ein weiterer Zweig, aus Zoagli stammend, brachte bedeutende Persönlichkeiten hervor, darunter Gregorio, 1391 Ratsherr der Republik, Giambattista, Notar und Amtsträger im frühen sechzehnten Jahrhundert, sowie Teramo, einen berühmten Maler; sie wurden 1528 in das Haus Spinola aufgenommen. ...
