Nobility crown PillaniLa famiglia, detta anche in antico De' Pillani è oriunda da Gubbio, da dove pare si trasferisse in Reggio E. fin dal 1272 con Tiberio, che in quell'anno fu podestà di Reggio. Nel secolo XVII il capitano Marcantonio De' Pillani, n. a Reggio il 28 agosto 1660, sposò Flerida degli Averoldi, reggiana. Un Antonio, letterato, apparteneva alla fine del secolo XVII all' "Accademia degli Accesi", e forse è questo stesso. Ebbe due figli: il capitano Michele Arcangelo, da cui Piramo Antonio, col quale pare si sia estinto questo ramo, e Piramo, colonnello comandante le truppe forensi, n. a Reggio il 4 gennaio 1685, che continuò la famiglia, Suo figlio Pellegrino fu pure colonnello comandante. Fu scrittore e lasciò un Compendio dei miracoli della B. V. della Ghiara di Reggio insieme con Giovanni Miari, Scrisse pure delle rime e un sonetto sul Mauriziano riportato dal Guasco.
