Nobility crown Pinto-GuislaLa familia P.-Guisla o G.-Pinto, que de ambas formas han pasado a la historia de Canarias, forma arte de la rama segunda de los antiguos Marqueses de Guisla Gjiselin y procede por línea agnada de la ciudad de Coimbra, siendo su tronco Antonio P. Correa y su eposa Isabel Dantes Barros, vecinos de dicha Ciudad. Nieto de este matrimonio fue el capitán Don Bartolomé P. Correa Dantes, de Coimbra, que contrajo nupcias en La Palma el 25 de junio de 1628, con Doña Margarita de Guisla Van de Walle, hija menor del Maestre de Campo Don Diego I de Guisla Van de Walle, jefe de la Casa de G. Ghiselín. Este matrimonio tuvo cinco hijos, continuando la línea el primogénito, Don Antonio Pinto de Guisla Van de Walle. El estudio del escudo heráldico familiar nos "habla" de quienes formaron el origen de la familia P., pues esa era su función, la de manifestar a los demás sus elementos diferenciales, pues la inclusión del elemento creciente indica la pelegrinación de la familia a los Santos Lugares de Oriente, cuestión que daba el don de la salud y de la perpetuación del apellido. Los esmaltes del arma de los P. pregonan los siguientes valores: el Azur corresponde al símbolo del agua, de la continuidad de la vida, es un color de nobleza, belleza, castidad y fidelidad, además otras virtudes caracterizaban a la familia, tales como la abundancia económica, la perseverancia, la suerte, la fama y el afán de victoria. ...
