Nobility crown PressisTrès ancienne famille de Thueyts aussi mentionné Precis. Notre très distingué historiographe, le Vicomte de Montravel, a fait paraître, en 1903, dans la Revue du Vivarais, la monographie des châteaux de Blou. Il nous apprend que les des Pressis, connus par filiation authentique depuis le mileu du XIIème siècle, jusq'à leur extinction, tombés en quenouille dans la maison de Blou, sont originaires de Thueyts. En 1288, Godefroy de Cayres, en son testament, fait un legs à sa fille Agnès, épouse du seigneur Raymond Pressis, chevalier. M. Michel de Chazotte commence la filiation de cette maison à noble Bertrand qu'il dit être sans dout père d'André qui, en 1285, était curé de Thueyts et d'Etienne Pressis qui fit son testament, le 18 janvier 1296, par lequel il nomme ses six enfants. Le 24 mars 1287, il passa un traité avec Béraud Ytier, seigneur de Chapdenac, touchant le droit de moyenne et basse justice qu'il avait sur les mas qu'il tenait en fief dudit seigneur. Au dixième degré de la Généalogie, que donne le Vicomte de Montravel, cette maison est représentée par Marguerite Pressis, unique héritière de sa famille, qui épousa, le 14 février 1461, noble seigneur François de Blou, fils de feu noble Jean, de Toulaud, diocèse de Valence, en Vivarais. Ils eurent plusieurs enfants. ...
