Antonio, il quale già avea lasciato questa vita nell’anno del Signore 1597. Da costui discende il ramo che, per antichi meriti e chiara stirpe, ottenne il solenne riconoscimento della sua nobiltà con Decreto Ministeriale nel 1926. Il detto Gregorio generò Gio. Giacomo, da cui ebbe origine il ramo riconosciuto nobile, mentre un altro ramo discese dal fratello di costui, anch’egli chiamato Gio. Antonio. Gio. Giacomo, nel già menzionato anno 1597 e nel successivo, dimorava nella terra di Chiuro insieme al fratello, sebbene ancora non fosse stato accolto nella vicinanza di quel luogo. Portava egli il nome onorifico di "de Quadrio de Maria de Pontaschellis", appellativo poi abbreviato da alcuni dei suoi posteri. Dal nobile Gio.
