La geneaologia di questa famglia di Cortile, villa vicino a Carpi, si inizia con un Martino, fu Pietro R., vivente nel 1377. Andrea, di Giovanni Marco (1493), di Marco (1483), di Pietro (1450), di Martino (1377), sposò Antonia Conti di Bologna (1517) e per adozione prese il cognome Conti. Il 5 aprile 1549 fu aggregato alla cittadinanza nobile di Bologna dal Senato Bolognese, con trasmissibilità del titolo ai suoi discendenti che avessero preso dimora in Bologna. Da Galasso, figlio di costui, discesero in linea retta, Francesco (a. 1601), poi Andrea (a. 1623), poscia altro Francesco, indi Giovanni Marco, poi Francesco ed infine Galasso, marito di Lelia Pio di Savoia, al quale la Comunità di Carpi il 28 novembre 1818 largì il titolo di nobile di Carpi, trasmissibile ai figli maschi in perpetuo. ...
