Nobility crown SchellerAncient and noble German family, of ancient Austrian origins, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. The clear nobility of this illustrious House, in all its branches, is also confirmed by its presence in some of the most valuable heraldic books, such as "Siebmachers Wappenbuch", by the German heraldic artist Johann Ambrosius Siebmacher, a heraldic multivolume book regarding the nobility of the Holy Roman Empire. The first cradle of this noble family was Austria and, more precisely, Gartenau (Salzburg), where its presence is attested prior to the 15th century. The first character we know of, however, is an Albrecht Scheller who in 1403 sealed the so-called "Igelbund", a protective alliance against the arbitrariness of the sovereign archbishop, between the cities of Salzburg, Laufen, Tittmoning, Hallein and Radstadt.
